Infants

An infant room lives or dies on consistency. The same few faces, the same hands at the same moments, so a baby learns that being hungry, tired or upset is always followed by someone coming. Everything else is built on that.

Naps run on your baby’s clock, not ours

The schedule below shows three nap windows because that is what an infant room needs to hold. Inside them, a baby who is tired sleeps and a baby who is awake gets a teacher. We follow the sleep pattern you send us in and tell you what actually happened.

What this room is built to support

  • Secure attachment through consistent, familiar caregivers
  • Sensory development tied to monthly milestones
  • Emotional regulation through Conscious Discipline routines
  • Early communication with music, gesture, expression and talk
  • Daily notes home, plus a weekly note from the curriculum
  • Free movement and daily tummy time, indoors and out

Come and stand in the infants room

The schedule above is what we do. A visit is how you check that it is true, and how you meet the people who would actually be with your child. Call (631) 650-0564 or ask for a time.
